The PCC regrets this late notice. The SOAWatch notice came to us just this week.
Still we invite you to be part of a powerful two-day gathering commemorating 35 years of accompaniment, solidarity, and resistance. This event is not just a remembrance but a vital call to action for peace and justice across borders. Together with our local community partners, we will confront the urgent need to end ongoing border militarization and the harmful U.S. policies that perpetuate social, political, economic, and environmental crises in the borderlands and across Latin America. Let’s unite in promoting peace, solidarity, and an end to wars.
This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to join this significant moment of reflection, learning, and action.
If you are unable to take part in person, you can still support the work of the SOAWatch by your donation at https://www.paypal.com/donate/...
Event Highlights:
Workshops & Panels:
Deepen your understanding of current border realities, human rights issues, and the impact of U.S. interventionist policies in Latin America. Explore how these factors contribute to displacement and migration.
Community Discussions:
Participate in meaningful conversations on the effects of border militarization and displacement on all communities. Learn how we can work together across borders to advocate for peace and justice.
Arts & Culture:
Immerse yourself in artistic presentations and cultural expressions that celebrate resilience, resistance, and community.
Event Details:
Day 1: U.S. Side
Saturday, November 16th
Program begins at 9:00 AM
Day 2: Mexico Side
Sunday, November 17th
Note: This is a cross-border mobilization, and we recognize that there may be limitations to participation due to citizenship status and other factors. We encourage everyone to join in the ways they feel able and called to do so. For those planning to cross into Mexico, please remember to bring your passport.
Let’s come together to build a future of peace, solidarity, and justice. We hope to see you there!
Peace and all good! ~ jack
