"Your silence speaks volumes, Your Eminence"

"Your silence speaks volumes,
Your Eminence"
Greetings!
In a groundbreaking conversation, members of the Women's Ordination Conference were recently joined by Cardinal Cartone for an intimate dialogue about the urgent issue of women's equality in the Church.

The Cardboard Cardinal brings all of the characteristics of a Prince of the Church that you'd expect: stiff and silent on women's ordination.

Met with the sincere and faithful questions of women seeking equality in the Church, Cardinal Cartone's arguments are paper-thin (and shredding before our eyes!).

To kick off our very own Vocations Awareness Week (alongside the USCCB's), please enjoy our fun new video, a respite from the stress of these times:
The Cardboard Cardinal
The USCCB has designated November 1-7, 2020 to be National Vocations Awareness Week, a week to "promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life through prayer and education."

We will use Vocations Awareness Week to agitate and make space for the many people who are aware of their priestly vocations, even if the hierarchy wishes they weren't. And there's so much to get involved with, we've even expanded the week by two days.

We're ready to make the hierarchy "aware" of the vocations they're dismissing. Through our alternative schedule of events, we're engaging with this week in our own spirit of inclusion. Join us by registering at the links below, and download our toolkit!
For equality,

Kate McElwee
Executive Director
P.S. Download your very own Cardboard Cardinal and take a photo wherever you are! Or, make a video asking His Eminence your most pressing questions about women's ordination. Share with us using #dontdiscernwithoutus and #ordainwomen on social media!
