'Fratelli tutti' does not include women, and neither does 'fraternity'

  1. Anyone who knows even limited Italian knows that the use of the word "fratelli" in this context does not have a connotation of or reference to gender. It encompasses everyone, and the appropriate English translation is "Brothers and Sisters." ---R. Spatti
