Priestly Diary: Like the Black Plague, COVID-19 will probably have some long-term impact on the Catholic Church. I suspect that it will accelerate two seemingly contradictory trends.

    I would invite readers to You Tube a speech given in 2005 by then President George W Bush, advising us THEN to prepare for the possibility of a pandemic, and the steps that should be taken by Congress and the American people. Unfortunately, we didn't believe or listen to him. Maybe now is the time?
