On Aug. 6, Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco made their perpetual professions at the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians in Shillong, Meghalaya in northeast India. The ceremony took place on the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the order's founding.

Sisters say they stay in religious life for many reasons: the community, the mission, the ministry, the connection to God. “Our stumbling attempts to remain faithful give me hope,” says one.
