The history of synodality: It’s older than you think.
In 1962 I was in my second year of Canon Law school at the Lateran University. We were asked to be secretaries at the First Session of the Vatican Council. Of course we accepted (better than going to school)! We witnessed how two thousand Bishops could come together and discern where the Holy Spirit was leading the Church to update itself. Pope Francis has now asked all of us to come together to discern where we need to be going in these days! We have so much to look forward to. Where will the Holy Spirit lead us ?
