REVERSE ORDINARIATE

And finally ...

THE TABLET

20 January 2012

A year after the establishment of the British ordinariate for traditionalist Anglicans who wished to become Catholics, a Peruvian Catholic bishop, three of his priests and their congregations have opted to join the Anglican Church.
Bishop Oscar Rojas Quinto and three of his clergy will be received as priests into the Anglican Church of Peru on 19 February, along with their congregations from Huancayo in the mountains of central Peru.
Bishop Harold William Godfrey, who heads the Anglican Diocese of Peru, called it a "reverse Ordinariate".
