Women's role in the church remains a hot potato the Vatican can't seem to handle
The Church I believe is in gross sin because of the discrimination and misogyny of the ordained. There is nothing spoken by Jesus or in the gospels that prohibit women from being ordained. The petrine idea is a false excuse, Jesus first told Mary to bring the Good News to the other apostles. Peter appointed several women to preach the Good News. It is disappointing to see the Church offer up lame excuses and deny women, created with a soul equal to males in every way be denied their calling. A bit of our creator rests within their souls as it does in males. The Church needs to break free of its prejudices and believe in, trust in Jesus.
