Synod study group updates on controversial topics: women, seminaries, bishops and more
The study groups that Pope Francis tasked with digging into some controversial topics that arose at the Synod on Synodality have published their interim reports. This week on “Inside the Vatican,” host Colleen Dulle and executive producer Sebastian Gomes unpack the news from the reports and analyze in-depth the work of the groups studying women’s ministries, seminary formation and the appointment of bishops.
In the second half of the show, Colleen gives updates on several news stories from the week, including Pope Leo XIV’s meeting with actors and filmmakers, the return of indigenous artifacts that had been held in the Vatican Museums and some details from Senior Vatican Correspondent Gerard O’Connell’s recent book on the conclave.
